MAC DOCK is a Windows desktop enhancement utility which adds a Mac OS X-like dock to your desktop. It allows you to launch programs, similar to how the menu system works on OS X computers.
On High Sierra 10.13.4 this fixed my problem (background colors not applying) Open your Applications folder. Right-click cDock.app and select Show Package Contents. Navigate to the Resources folder. Copy cDock.bundle. Go to folder /Library/Application Support/SIMBL/Plugins Paste the cDock.bundle file into this folder. Try to restart cDock. Just updated to High Sierra (finally!) and thus, became super motivated to find a solution to this. The 'defaults write' manouver doesn't work anymore, but I found something even better (offering more customization options): cDock.
Though there are several different types of docks available which try to mimic Apple's system, many of them are proprietary tools or aren't free. That's not the case with SSuite's MAC DOCK.

Unfortunately, SSuite's attempt to create an OS X clone isn't very well thought out. It isn't as nice on the eye and its customization options are limited.
With that said, MAC DOCK may be useful to some users but in general, not very well recommended.
